Reason And Cure Of Pale Yellow Vaginal Discharge 4 Months Post Partum And Yellow Placenta Upon Delivery?

Hello. I gave birth to a baby boy on the 24th of August 2013 and he was covered in yellow stuff. My placenta was equally a deep yellow upon delivery. Baby was checked for jaundice and was cleared as not having it. 4 months down the line, I have been dripping some thick pale yellow discharge from my vagina. I have had a bit of pain in my uterus twice or three times. Is this normal? I put myself on some drug called gyno daktarin and the discharge and pain have lessened. Ive noticed the yellow substance lessening as well inconsistently now. What could be causing this?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You had a baby boy on 24-8-2013,and he was covered in yellow stuff. Placenta also is deep yellow. No jaundice to the baby.
Four months latter, you had pale yellow discharge from vagina. Had little pain some times. Yellow color is slowly going down.
When the baby is about to be delevered if there is depression to foetus, the foetal anus is opened, and miconium is passed into the amniotic fluid.
It go on recycling, and the miconium is diluted in amniotic fluid, and becomes yellow due to the bile salts and , and pegments in the miconium.
When the miconium is dark, stains the placenta, and the endomatrium also.
During delivary and after 4 months it is seen to be yellow on baby, placenta, and the vaginal discharge.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
