Rash All Over Abdomen. Had Hysterectomy, Given Morphine. Cause Of Rash?

I had a lap/hysterectomy on Monday. I was informed they had given me morphine. Yesterday I broke out with a rash all over my stomach. The rash is only on my stomach. I don't know if this is a reaction to the morphine they gave me or if I am having a reaction to the glue they used to close the incisions. The rash is all over my abdomen. I am only taking ibuprofen for pain when needed.

Hi,

As you have had a lap hysterectomy as early as Monday, you might have been given many medication during and after your surgery.
Under these circumstances, you may have to tell your doctor the exact appearance of your rashes and the medicines taken by you preceding the rashes.

You may discuss the precise medicine intake and doses with your doctor. Please apply calamine lotion over the skin and take some anti histamines.

Rarely the glue can also cause mild rashes.

Hope this helps.
