Pregnant. Noticed Bleeding. No Fetal Beat And Heart Beat. Suggested Abortion. Prescribed Misoprostal. What Can Be Done?

hello sir...I m pregnant for 8 weeks it started bleeding. and I went for scan but my ultrasound scan its 5 weeks 6 days and there is no fetal pole and heartbeat. doctors adviced me for abortion and she gave medicines (A) Mifepristone 200mg in the morning and after 48hrs (B) Misoprostal 200 mcg to be chewed one after another. and should repeat the scan aft 48 hrs wheather its clear or not for conformation. will these tablets clear off. plz sugest ur opinion.

Hello,

According to scan report, it indicates missed abortion. Medical abortion is good choice for early week pregnancy and it can be done successfully up to 9 weeks of gestational age.

As per your doctor's direction, you can take those medication. Procedure is associated with excessive vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. So, you may need some painkiller and other associated medications. Kindly, contact with your doctor in emergency purpose.

One USG scan is required to check retained bits and other tissue. In such case, D & C may be done to complete the abortion procedure.
