Periods Late, Having Pregnancy Symptoms But Result Negative. Can I Still Be Pregnant?

I am 42 yrs old and my husband and I have trying to get pregnant for years--have some fibroids & endometrisis. I have always had a regular that is either a 25-28 cycle days. I have never ever missed a cycle until now and have had high Body base temperature for almost a month now--now for the first time ever my period is 3weeks late. I am having a lot of early preggo signs such as slightly lower back pain, frequent urination, bloated, breast seem bigger and fuller than normal, very sleepy at certain time of day. I am 3 weeks late and taken home pregnancy test today and still came back negative . could I still be pregnant....and if not what could be the cause of this?. thanks

Hi. You can wait for another one week and get your ultrasound pelvis done to see the cause for all this delay. However, since you are having endometriosis, you may not be having normal functioning ovaries or there may be some adhesions, or disturbed tubo- ovarian relationship, which might be the cause of infertility and disturbed periods. If there is no pregnancy this time after confirming by scan, then I will advise you to undergo Laparoscopic ex. for diagnostic and treatment purposes, as you are already 42 years of age. Tjanks.
