Period twice a month, pregnant, miscarriage?

Hi i have come on my period twice this month, the first time it was really dark almost black and 5 days later im back on but a normal period. im 30 years old and not on the pill. do you think there is a chance i could of miscarried the first time thats why it was dark?? (ps i havent done a pregnancy test as i came on so didnt think about it until i came on again today)

Thanks for the query.
Dark colored blood usually indicates collected blood in the endometrial cavity.
And just by the color we cannot confirm the miscarriage.
The bleeding could be due to hormonal imbalance also.
So you once consult gynecologist, get examined and go for ultrasound.
By this the possible cause for your repeated bleeding can be identified and treatment can be given accordingly.
