Panic, Anxiety Attacks, Hot Sensation In Neck, Arm And Chest Pain

Hi. I am a 23 year old female and I have been having panic and anxiety attacks for about two years now. Lately I have noticed some new symptoms where I get icy hot sensation all over the left side of my neck and up into my jaw line. My neck and my face where I feel these sensation feel tight and drawn up. I ve also been experiencing left arm pain and left chest pain even which usually trigers my attacks. I just would like some insight to make if these new symptoms are an indicator of something besides anxiety or panic disorders.

hello

welcome to the public forum of healthcare magic

Don't ignore these symptoms ..... left chest pain radiating to left arm could be related to some cardiac ailment for which you should consult with a general physician and get an ECG done or other tests as advised by your doctor....

After ruling out any medical cause of your symptoms..... consult a psychiatrist and get treatment for your anxiety symptoms or other symptoms which are related to it....

Wish you good health

Thanks

Psychiatrist Dr. Jonas Sundarakumar's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your question...

Anxiety can manifest itself with a variety of physical symptoms, including cold / hot sensations, muscle tightness, etc. So, it is quite possible that these new symptoms could be related to your panic attacks, especially since you say that they preceed the attacks. However, if you are very concerned about them, then you can get an ECG done to rule out any cardiac causes.

Wish you all the best.
