Pain Under Left Rib Cage, Popping Sound On Pressing, Upper Chest Tightness. Related Symptoms?
Hello. For the last month or two i ve had a pain I get under my left rib cage. It s not constant but when it hurts, it s really bad. Also, when i push just below my left rib cage I can feel something popping/clicking. Another thing is on my upper chest , i get this tightness and when i arch my back or move a certain way, it hear cracking and it relieves the tightness. I don t know if the two things are connected in anyway.
Hello Dear
There are number of causes for rib cage pain like heart disease, Pleural Effusion or infection, Abdominal discomfort and muscular spasm. You need to be investigated properly and get to a diagnosis. There is a battery of test to be preformed. But to be cost effective I need some more detail:
1. What factors increases your pain?
2. Is pain associated with shortness of breath and sweating/
3. Your age and weight?
4. Any history of cough and fever?
5. Any digestive system problem like constipation or gastritis?
The upper chest pain can be due to Cervical spondylosis as it get revealed by posture change.
Give answer to the queries so that I can give you a proper detailed answer.
Best Wishes
