Pain In The Ankle In The Mornings. Why?

Hi,

I am 27, very active, 93Kg's 5ft9. I can barely put any pressure on my ankle every morning. Pain is pretty much all the way around the ankle. The pain will subside after showering. I can run on it and play all sports, but I struggle to walk down a flight of stairs in the morning. It has been like this for two months now.

Any idea what this could be?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the ankle only in the mornings could be due to arthritic changes in the joint or plantar fasciitis. Taking mild pain killers and a hot fomentation will be helpful.
