Pain In Right Leg. Foot Feels Heavy. History Of Herniated Disc On Right Shoulder. Cause?
My name is Vicki I have been feeling pain in my right leg mostly numbness and my foot feels heavy. and I have an history of herniated disc on my right shoulder, c4,c5,c6 I am having pain from the right shoulder and it's going down through my arm. it is very painful. Can you please let me know what is the cause of this?
Dear Vicki, Firstly, the pains you feel in your arm may be related to the herniated discs you have at C4,5,6. You don't say what treatment you have received already for this. You could try simple pain-killers such as paracetamol and ibuprofen. A physiotherapist may be able to help. If the pain continues and is affecting your daily activities then your doctor may advice from a surgeon may be appropriate and sometimes these problems require surgery. The symptoms in your leg could also be due to a prolapsed disc in your lower back. So I would suggest trying the simple measures I have suggested in the first instance and a visit to your doctor if you have no relief.
