Pain In Hip And Femur That Is Fitted With A Rod, Especially When Cold. How To Manage This Condition?

I have a rod in my right femur, the surgery was done about 10years ago, but the last couple of years Its been hurting more in the hip and middle of the femur. Especially when its starts getting cold outside, to the point I can hardly walk. whats going on and what can I do about it?

Hi, Thanks for using HCm.

As rod has inserted 10 years ago, need to get X-ray done to check for proper union of fracture. If fracture has united properly and rod is causing pain, Then rod can be removed.

Consult your orthopedic doctor and get examined.
