On Humira. Due For A Long Trip, Suggest How To Keep The Medication Refrigerated. Can Frozen Gel Packages Be Used?

My wife just started taking humira a week ago. We want to make a trip from Kelowna B.C. Canada to our place in Mesa Arizona. Flying by plane and with all the stops etc.,it will probably end up being a minimum 9 to 10 hrs possibly more. The humira is supposed to be kept refrigerated, thus causing us a problem. Can we use frozen gell pkgs. I do not know how long they will stay frozen. Could you give me your thoughts on this problem. Thank you- Gordon & Janet

Hi, Don't worry about carrying the medicines, You can carry the medicines with you with out loosing its efficacy. You can take it in the flask, or a thermocool carrier, with the ice cubes, or frozen gell packs, the will maintain the temperature of 0 degrees for more than 12 hours, and if the container is leak proof more than that. Thank you.
