On Different Types Of Estrogen. Is There More Risk To Heart, Stroke With An Increase In The Patch?

I have been on three different types of estrogen . The patch being most effective, but at 1 mg (changing patch twice a week) my hot flashes increased. I thought that the doctor would just increase my patch dosage. Is there more risk to heart, stroke , etc. with an increase in the patch? I am currently on gel, just a week. Was on a spray before this.
