On Caridzem For Irregular Heart Rate. History Of Being On Prednisone For Crohns And Gaining Weight. On Zoloft For Losing Weight. Confused
I am 65 juggling my weight for the last 10 years, I am a nurse educator and love running the halls with my studnets. I recently was placed on Caridzem for irregular heart-rate and just read that weight gain could be a potential side effect OMG!! I spent 2 years on Prednisone for Crohns and finally placed on Remicade, I gained almost 80 lbs and it has been horrible to get it off...now my Doctor put me on 25 mg of Zoloft to hopefulluy slow down anxiety eating ,she also said often people will lose on it, she wants my emontional eating to slow down.......however I am reading all over this site that it causes weight gain,......please give your thoughts and which you seen more often ........lose or gain????

Hi, the weight gain could be due to the prednisone, and when you stop it you will naturally loose weight slowly. I advise you to avoid spices, junk foods, and oily foods. Avoid eating while viewing television. Make a habbit of eating food in standing position. Thank you.
