On Suboxone For Pain Control, Diagnosed With Severe Sciatica, Suggested Another Narcotic. How To Avoid Withdrawal Effects ?

hi, my name is AAAAA. I am currently on suboxone 8mg 2 times a day for pain control. but, I have been currently diagnosed with severe sciatica and I need to take another narcotic to control the deep, ongoing pain. am I able to do that, while on suboxone, without getting type of withdrawl symptoms or effects from the pother narcotic

Hi and thanks for the query,

the best way to avoid side effects or withdrawal effects from narcotics is by gradual withdrawal under medical supervision and also not staying so long on the narcotics. If after sometime on the pain killers, you become some what dependent on them, other treatment options like infiltrations or surgical options should be sought. When done earlier to avoid nerve damage, outcomes are more favorable.
