On Coumidan For DVT Of Right Leg Caused By Birth Controls. Swollen Lymph In Neck That's Reducing. Can I Come Off Warfarin ?

I have been on coumidan for a dvt of my right leg. The dvt was from above my knee tl my ankle. I am going into my 10th month with the dvt. I have had 3 ultrasounds and the dvt is gone from the knee down but is still above my knee.
The dvt was caused by birth control pills. I am peri menopausal. I have 2 questions. If the doctor tells me I can come off of my warfarin would it be wise to stay on natural blood thinners. Also, I have had a swollen lymph node in my neck for 30 years. Doctors always told me not to worry about it. Lately, after 30 years, it has gotten small and
it is almost gone. Could the warfarin have had an impact on it?

Hi,
Thanks for choosing HCM
If yiou are asked to stop warfarin that means blood thinners have had their desired effect any more continuation can lead to bleeding . So you will have to stop the natural blood thinners too.
Secondly warfarin has no relation to your lymph node, it has regressed with age thats all.
Hope this helps you
Take care
