On Azithral, Zupar For An Abscess Near Knee In Right Leg, Not Helping. Any Alternative ?

Hi ....I am suffering from Abscess (skin infection) near my knee in the right leg....presently I am taking the tablets - Azithral (once a day in the Night) and Zupar (twice a day) but still I m not getting completely well, may I still continue the same tablets for another day or two or should I change the prescription. Please let me know.

Hello,
Welcome to health care magic.
If you have not obtained relief with above mentioned medication, the infection may be due to a bacterial strain resistant to it.
It would be ideal to send the pus for culture and sensitivity test and star an appropriate antibiotic based on the report.
You could also give some hot fomentation at home. If the pus is pointing , it would be better to get it drained by a doctor.
