Hi, thank you for posting your query on health care magic.
Allergy might be a cause of upper
respiratory tract infection in your case.
Make a list of factors which trigger your complains like environmental change, weather, dust, certain food items, etc and try to avoid such trigger factors.
Symptoms might increase on exposure to cold weather as blood vessels dilate on exposure to cold for generating heat leading to
nasal congestion and also there in increase in mucus production.
You may find relief by taking Analgesic (like Ibuprofen), Antacid (like Rantac), Antihistaminic (like Cetrizine),Oral Decongestant if you are not suffering from hypertension(like containing
Phenylephrine), Nasal Decongestant (like
Oxymetazoline) Steroid
nasal spray (like Mometasone) and Saline nasal Spray.
Also do steam inhalation.Do warm Saline gargles.Take plenty of fluids (warm).Avoid cold, spicy and oily food.Avoid dust, smoke and other pollutants.Drinking hot tea with honey, lemon and ginger will also help.Daily taking turmeric milk will also help as turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties.
If after taking the above measures, your symptoms are not improving, then it would be advisable to consult an Otolaryngologist Doctor.
Hope this answers your question.Get well soon.
