General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Raised ESR is suggestive of active infection or problem in body it could be any bacterial infection ;tuberculosis or even a simple anaemia.Since your father has cough & ESR is 100 there could be a chest infection like bronchitis or even tuberculosis ;the x-ray will be the diagnostic investigation.Let the report come then you can consult your doctor with the report so that proper treatment can be done .
Take care
Thanks
