My Doctor Cannot Find The Heart Beat Of The Fetus, What Should I Do ?

i am 5weeks and 3days (today) i dont know how i am this far along when i know i got pregnant April 29th, 2011. Well i went to the doc. today and they said they cant find a heart beat or fetal pole (whatever that is) does this mean i am going to lose the baby???

Hi,thanks for query.Normally at 5 weeks of pregnancy ultrasound done by Trans vaginal route can pick up fetal pole and cardiac activity.You can still wait for one week and repeat the scan again.then you can take a final call.bye and all the best.
