Missed Periods. Pregnancy Test Negative. Meprate Suggested. Need To Take It?

Hello Doctor.

I missed my period now by almost 10 days. I am getting signs which are looking like early pregnancy signs. Home pregnancy tests are coming negative. Today, I went to one Gynecologist and she took a scan and said that I am not pregnant and suggested me meprate tablet so that I can get period. Should I wait for some more days.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Since your pregnancy test is negative, there is no need to take mifepristone which is used to induce an abortion. You need hormonal pills to have a withdrawal bleeding.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
