Missed Periods. Diagnosed Ruptured Haemorrhage Cyst, Fluid In Pelvis, Thick Uterus Lining. Mild Cramping In Lower Abdomen, Back Pain, Tender Breasts, Bloating, Nausea. Possible Ectopic Pregnancy?
Hi doc, my period is now two months late. I have always been regular so this is very strange. I have been trying to conceive over the last 10months. I am 24 so i didnt think it would take this long. I did have an abortion a year ago. Had an ultrasound yesterday they said i had a large ruptured haemmorhage cyst, and substantial amount of fluid in my pelvis, however, my uterus lining is quite thick. We did a urine pregnancy test and it was negative. Could i still be pregnant or experiencing an ectopic pregnancy?... I have mild cramping to my lower abdomin, sharp back pain and very tender breasts. I have been very bloated and feeling nausia on and off... I feel like i did when i was pregnant the first time.

A ruptured hemorrhagic cyst of ovary is seen in healthy ovaries. A graffian follicle after releasing ovum/ egg undergoes various changes. Hemorrhage is one of the change.
So, a ruptured hemorrhagic cyst is not indicative of pregnancy.
The endometrial lining or the endometrium is thickened, this is indicative of endometrial hyperplasia. an endometrial curettings or biopsy is required to know the cause of this thickening.
Fluid in pelvis can be secondary to the ruptured hemorrhagic cyst.
There is no evidence of pregnancy on the ultrasound.
The cause of delay of periods needs to be sought out.
You need to visit your gynecologist for clinical examination and relevant investigations.
