Missed Periods. Detected Early Menopause, High FSH Levels, Weight Around Tummy. Pregnancy Test Negative. Right Diagnosis?

Hi, I haven't had a period for 6 months, my doctor says I am not pregnant (had tests done)
However he has said my FSH levels are high, indicating an early menopause (i am 43), but I feel strange and am worried I may be pregnant, I did go back and explain my worries he has said my blood test would have shown a pregnancy as well as the FSH hormone level drops with pregnacny, I have also gained weight around my tummy, I am so worried, could my GP have got it wrong?
Thanks

Hello,
I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR QUERY AND UNDERSTOOD YOUR CONCERNS.
I will agree with your doctor as in pregnancy there will be low FSH levels and you have got your pregnancy tests done too which didnt mentioned any positive results. If you were my patient I will do the most important test which is ultrasonography for abdomen after observing your FSH levels. And I think these are the perimenopausal changes as your age is 43. Dont worry much about it as there is nothing to worry much so just follow the instructions given by your doctor and if possible have scan done. Hope this answers your query. Thank you.
