Missed Period. Taking Primolut N. Done Blood Test, Normal. Discontinue Medication?

Hi I am 46 yrs old. I didn't have my periods for 2 months. Hormones level was ok in blood test. Suddenly I got my periods started and continued for 7 days with heavy flow and blood clots. So dr prescribed me primolut N and asked to stop when bleeding stop. So after 5 days bleeding stopped and I stop taking Primolut from today. Now my bleeding started again. What should I do?

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Please visit a gynecologist first of all.
You seem to be having perimenopausal transition, due to which you might be experiencing irregular uterine bleeding.
You should have a pelvic transvaginal ultrasounds can.
It might show fibroids, adenomyosis or endometrial hyperplasia or polyp - all are common at this age.
THe necessary treatment can then be initiated, generally in the form of cyclical hormone therapy every month.
All the best.
