Miscarried But Foetus Didn T Passed Just Bleeding And Cramping. Had D And C Followed By HCG Test. Suggest?
I found out of 8/9 I miscarried. There were 2 sacs but only one baby. The Tuesday before my hormone levels were 14,700 by Friday at 1300. I decided to do a natural miscarriage. The following Wednesday baby still had not passed just lots of bleeding and cramping. Decided to go through with d and c Thursday but the sacs passed Wednesday night. Went to doctors office and she sent test off on tissue that she took out that was at the top of cervix. Did blood work to test hgc levels again Monday the 19th. The nurse called today but I was at work and left a message but didn't say what it was regarding. She called 15 minutes before the office closed so now I have to worry all weekend about what she wanted. If it was something serious wouldn't she say something like very important on voicemail. I don't want to go back for more blood work because its very painful to see all the pregnant women in the office.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. Since you have expelled both the sacs, the persistent pain and bleeding could be due to retained products like placental tissue in the uterus. The raised HCG levels do take at least 72 hours to start reducing. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
