Meaning Of Diffuse Heterogenous In Sonogram Of Pancreas? Stomach Erosion Found In Endoscopy. Possible Problem?
I have a sonogram of the pancreas . The results show diffuse heterogenous. What does that mean? The doc ordered a CT scan , especially that he also found during an upper endoscopy some stomach erosion. I don t have my gallbladder . I am a diabetic on Januvia for years now. In the 80 s I suffered a bout of pancreatitis. What Could I be facing now?

Diffuse means the organ here which is pancreas is involved completely as compared to focal where only part of it is involved. Heterogenous means organ is changed non uniformly. Since you had pancreatitis getting a CT scan will help to rule out any cancerous growth.
