Massive Stomach Pain With Diarrhea. Very Frequent Episodes. Treatment?

have had c-dif in the past (2 months ago). I think I have it again. I swear I'm a clean person. I was my hands all day long. anyway, the pain is unbearable. in the bathroom over 15 time a day. I can't stand up straight without having massive pain and diarrhea. Had a fever yesterday but don't think I do today. diarrhea is not watery. changes from almost black to a pail tan color. last night it had specks (about 1/2 the size of pepper corns) mixed in the stool.

Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for problem.

You may or, may not, have a relapse of c-fiff!! how may days treatment was given to you during the acute attack last time?

Other causes of these symptoms, include acute amoebic colitis, Acute Giardiasis or may be an uncommon condition called Inflammatory Bowel Disease(early stage).

Firstly, get your stool examination done for parasites, protozoa, c-diff.

in the meanwhile, take the following treatment :-

1. Tab XXX (XXXmg) 2 tablets TWICE a day for 14 days.
2. Tab XXXX XXmg one tablet daily before breakfast.
3. Tab XXXX XXXmg- one tablet daily for 3 days (to be chewed and then swallowed with water).

These medicines will take care of all infections. However, if stools show presence of blood, get Colonoscopy done (which is used to see the inside of the intestine for diagnosis).

If the stool reports presence of c-diff, ADD the following to the medicines prescribed above :-

Inj XXX Powder XXX mg FOUR TIMES DAILY- to be taken ORALLY for 10-14 days for complete cure.

Most important :- plenty of water (2.5-3.5 litres) daily) with Oral Rehydration Powder.

I am highly optimistic that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
