Lungs, Part Of The Other Remain Collapsed, Shortness Of Breath After Heart Valve Repair. Will Rehab Help Him Heal Quickly?
My friend had heart valve repair in which his heart and lungs were on a machine during surgery, which was very successful. However, one of his lungs and part of the other remain collapsed enough that he must remain in a rehab center and he is short of breath very quickly after exertion. What will help him heal more quickly?

Respiratory failure and atelactasis( collapse) of lungs is well known complication after cardiopulmonary bypass.
Now key management is pulmonary physiotherapy, CPAP .
I think he is receiving these in rehab centre
I hope he will recover fast
