Light Headed, Weakness, Drainage, Heavy Feeling In Chest, Feeling Off Balance. No Trouble Breathing

I am light headed and weak spells off and on from about Sunday. I was told with medication I should avoid going out when it is very hot, however, I also am experiencing quite a bit of drainage, which seems to settle on my chest causing a heavy feeling. I donot have any other pain, and I donot have trouble breathing, but I do feel off balance

Hello dear,

The symptoms of drainage & heavy feeling on chest can be attributed to hyper responsiveness of the respiratory tract to certain allergens.
It can be managed by taking anti histamine preparations & avoiding exposure to cold, dust & other allergens.

The symptoms of light headedness & weakness as mentioned in your post can be due to:
1. Any pathology in the Vestibular apparatus in the inner ear, which maintains posture & balance.
2. Any fluctuation in the blood pressure or blood sugar levels.
3. Inadequate hydration status & electrolyte balance of the body.
4. Deficiencies of certain nutrients like Iron, Vitamin B 12, Folic acid, etc. which helps in blood formation & nerve conduction.
5. Hormonal & metabolic causes.
6. Stress, inadequate sleep, etc.

So, kindly consult your Physician and discuss regarding this.
Investigations like complete blood count, estimation of blood pressure & blood sugar levels, CT scan of brain will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.
