Leg Injury. Bruising, Pain, Limping, Swelling. Is It Going To Be Okay?

Hi I was playing soccer 8 hours ago and I got kicked at the back of my leg a little bit above my ankle. It really hurt for 5-10 minutes straight. Its now bruised and hurt especially when i try putting pressure on it. I can not walk without limping. There isnt much swelling. Should I go get it checked up or is it going to be ok?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM.
It seems like typical ankle distorsion, and I dount there is some fracture. YOu shoul rest, keep this leg elevated, place some cold compresses and avoid long standing and walking. If you want to be sure u can do xray, but i dont think this is neccessary. If pain persist or you feel tingling or inability to move then you should visit doctor.WIsh you good health.
