Knot, Tenderness In Leg After Being Kneed While Playing Basketball. Hurts To Keep Foot Flat. Is There Any Treatment?

I play basketbAll i'm sixteen years old 6'2 190 i was knees by another teammate accidently in my lower left calf on the outside left area iced it and added heat to it afte i happened. One week or two later i have a knot type thing in my leg nd its tender and hurts when i have my feet flat and pick the toes upwards off the ground.what can this be? How can i treat it?

It may the soft tissue swelling and very common in such type of injury, it will go away with the time if it is painful then you can have any pain killer medicine and the Ibuprofen is the drug of choice 400 mg just twice a day would give good result, if it does not resolved then it has to be investigated for unhealed fracture or unabsorbed blood cot, but for sure this will be fine, take care and have nice day.
