Ayurveda Specialist 's  Response
1. Kerala massage is palliation procedure while ayurveda massage is purification procedure.
2. ayurveda panchkarma except anuvasan vasti' causes 'Langhan' i.e. loss of weight while kerala ayurvedic massage produces 'brihan' i.e gain of weight.
3. most Important aspect is that while in Ayurveda Panchkarma there are fixed formulation for a given disease, in kerala ayurvedic massage medicine is prepared individually for patient disease, thus you can choose kerala massage for good relief, depending upon the duration of therapy and number of days of treatment.

As long as you don’t have any major problem and are still young with just muscle pain then it is alright. If you have slip disk or something then you better ask your doctor before you get massage done and also tell the massage fellow that you have what kind of problem.
Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Manish Rijhwani's  Response
yes it works very well
only thing is that you should get it done from a good Siddha or an Ayurvedic physician who is providing PANCHKARMA Facilities

I got it done once just simply. It was very nice and relaxing. But I had no back pain or problem but still I guess no harm in trying all kinds of treatment no? Sometime the treatment that is simple gives very good relief like oil massage. No harm in trying once
  User's Response
Ya, it does work out well, i had terrible back pain for which i had massage.
