Itchy Anus. Red Rash In The Anus. No Help From Hemorrhoid Creams. Suggestions?
Hi there, I have a very itchy anus. I thought at first it was hemmorhoids, but I've never had them before. When I look at it in a mirror, it looks like a red rash, kind of like jock itch, spreading out from the left side of my anus. I am a daily runner but I'm also very clean and this has never happened before. It's been about a month. It's very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Is there anything I can use otc to clear this up? I've tried some hemmorhoid creams and they do nothing.

From history it seems that you might be having either worm infestation or fungal infection around anal area.
Go for one course of anti-helminth medicnie course.
Take one course of anti-fungal tablet like Flucanozole 150 mg once in a week for 4 weeks.
Apply triple acting cream locally.
Keep local hygiene clean, dry and airy.
Ok and take care.
