you apparently have allergy.betnesol n eye drop is steroid, which if used for a prolnged period of time may lead to complications like cataract and glaucoma.you can use anti allergic non steroid eye drops and lubricant drops to give a soothing effect.

9/25/14 had surgery for advanced right eye cateract. Surgery went well and I m fine. However, since Aug 2014 I have been getting recurring blepharitis infections along with dry eyes. I was treated with Lotemax 0.5% each time it came back. This med. can only be used no longer than 3 mths otherwise can be a glacoma problem. In 1993 I had laser irridomics both eyes for being at risk for glacoma and now years later I am a narrow angle glacoma suspect. That does this mean?? Stopped the Lotemax 0.5% due to glacoma warning and switched doctors. Current doctor has me on Erythromycin daily at bedtime. This is an antibiotic. I ve been on this since 11/11/14 and so far still have the infection. It is not getting better. For dry eyes I have been using Genteal eye drops and then switched to no preservative Systane eye drops and use Systane as needed daily. I first wash hands, soak with warm compress, wash with baby shampoo, rinse with cool water, dry and apply eye drops. The eye drops are irritating. Is there any hope for me. I can t be swtiching doctors. There must be something that will get rid of this. Can you please help me as I am very frustrated and worried. Thank you!

Hello Dr, I have blepharitis so I have been told. Since 2007 have suffered with very dry eyes some days worse than some. At night when I wake up the eyes are dry. I use Celluvisc, Are they any vitamins such as Biotin or Selenium or anything else you can recommend to help. I have had tests for autoimmune disease but they have all been negative. Some days my eyes feel really heavy and sore. I have never had any tear film tests carried out.

Yes, thank you. I had a bad case of Blepheritis around my eyes a few years ago. I was prescribed Hylira. After a quick recovery... I have sjogrens and severe dry eye... Plugs, re stasis, gels etc. I carefully manage. But I have it again .... Just corner of one eye and part of lid. Dr. Says its not available but a fabulous drug. Gave me another cream sample. But I see on-line advertised and reviewed. Help! Thx. Vicki P Maguire

My 4 month old litt;e baby boy has an eye infection since birth. He has a green discharge from the eye and constant watering of the eye which is making the skin ont he side of his face very red and sore. He has had two courses of eye drops (antibiotics) which made no difference at all. Lately I noticed that the second eye is becoming infected. I am currently just washing it with sterile water and cotten wool as I have been from birth but still no improvement. Should I see the dr again?

I have angioedema, however, the redness, itching and discomfort I have been experiencing for the past week is growing worse and is only located on the outsides of both underarms. I take doxepin for the angioedema. I have been using three new prescription eye drops for cataract pre/post op: 1. Gatifloxacin 2. Lotemax and 3. Prolensa (my next op is 6/30/14 for my right eye). This new condition only began after my first cataract surgery on 6/16/14 and kept me awake most of last night. I am using neosporone on both sites. Thank you for any information you might offer. CW
