hello sir . i read your question. inr doesnt means thinning and thickening of blood its just shows the clotting ability. but doctors say that to let you understand more easily.
atrial fibrillation is a condition in which there will be increased risk of blood clotting. so we use warfarin for prophylaxis to prevent the disease ... once clotting happened it may cause emergency ... warfarin is an interesting drug than other drugs bcoz its much specific for every person. its based on metabloism of every person just like finger print which is unique to every person. so we cant decide the amount of drug to every individual person... so based on lab tests we will decide whether dose got increased or decreased (based on inr)... to maintain its in a stable value in 2 to 3 .... we use best anti dote vitamin k...
it happens in every person using warfarin so you don't need to bother this. this is rather useful issue. one more thing is you need to use it for long time so becareful to test the inr ... and consult the doctor as per his advice.
wish to recover soon and had a normal life.
