Is There Any Complications When I Have Fever During Pregnancy? 6

Hi I am just under 5 weeks pregnant and yesterday caught a fever that went up over 102. It was a 2 hr window of the fever rising from 100, peaking at 102.3 when I took tylenol, and it started coming down immediately. I know this is the critical period for neural tube development and that fevers are very harmful, I am wondering since it was a short window if I need to be worried. Thank you!

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand ur health concerns.
The fever which u have described , is just a sign of a infection. there is need to look for the cause of the fever since cause determines the outcome and complications.
In my opinion you should meet your doctor so that you can be examined and investigated. there is need to screen you for TORCH infection. after then any reasoned conclusion can be drawn..
you may need to get your FBC ESR , CULTURES, URINALYSIS..
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
