Is There A Permanent Treatment For Epilepsy?

hello sir hi i am 31 years old from darjeeling. i am having epilepsy since 3 years and i am tired taking all type of medicines including Ayurvedic i am working as IT Consultant and most of my time i have to spend sitting in front of Computer i am having attack 2 times a month now. is there any treatment forever???

Hi,
The treatment of epilepsy depends on any identifiable causative factor. If there are no causative factors identifiable, it has to be treat with a long term course of antiepileptics. I suggest you meet with a good neurologist and get a MRI scan of your brain to look for any identifiable causes. A thorough blood work also might rule out a few causes. Do not stop your medications on your own and always be compliant with them.
