Is There A Correlation Between Diltiazem And Frequent PVC S?

Is there a correlation between Diltiazem and frequest PVC s? Ever since I started taking Diltiazem 240mg/day I have had an irregular pulse. I had a stress test last week and the type of irregular pulse was premature ventricular contractions, not premature atrial contractions.

Dear Sir
Thanks for writing to us.
The diltiazem may be related to VPCs if it causes excessive slowing of heart rate (sinus rhythm). This slowing will allow lower pacemakers to fire and cause VPCs. Beside this it is unlikely to cause VPC by any other mechanism.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
