Is There A Chance Of Early Miscarriage Due To Brown Spotting?
I have been having brown spotting for about a week now. My period isn t due for another couple of days and this has been going on for about a week. Today there were clots. I am concerned about an early miscarriage. My husband and I were kind of trying but not to the extent of mandatory sex just if it happens it happens. Please help.
Hi, Thanks for the query. The possible causes for your bleeding are: -Early onset of menstrual bleeding -Intermenstrual spotting due to hormonal effect. -Postovulatoty bleeding -Possibility of miscarriage etc. If the bleeding continues and stops as menstrual flow, no need to worry. If bleeding increases or prolongs, once consult gynecologist and get evaluated. If you want to rule out the possibility of miscarriage, once go for blood test for pregnancy. Blood test for pregnancy measures beta hcg levels in the blood. In case of miscarriage, this levels will be elevated and blood test will give positive result. Plan unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, this will increase the possibility of pregnancy. Take care.
