Is Persistent Fingers Numbness And Soreness Normal?

1/28/11 open reduction of intrarticular, comminuted distal radius fracture. Doing occupational and physical therapy. However, from onset and continuing after surgery I have partial ring finger and little finger numbness and numbness along ring finger side of hand. Wrist is quit deformed and very sore. Unable to perform supination. Plating and screws were installed. Is it normal for the persistent numbness and soreness?
