Hi,
As you were on the pill for most part of the previous cycle, ovulation is unlikely and hence pregnancy chances are almost nil. The cause of the bleeding is possibly a breakthrough as the pill effects are wearing out. If you wish to exclude/confirm pregnancy, please go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres. This is sensitive and specific and gives a definite conclusion. You may begin to ovulate after one or two cycles and please get an evaluation if you fail to do so and the periods continue to be irregular. Hope this helps.
