Is It To Be Concerned About Irregular Periods And Hyperthyroidism?

Hi, I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism in September. I was scheduled to have surgery on 4/1 but after seeing an endocrinologist and having more blood work it showed my t3 and t4 levels had decreased leading her to believe I have thyroiditis. Before my menstrual cycle was regular, now I m getting my period every other week. I have read the thyroid and menstrual cycle are some how connected. My question is should I be overly concerned? Also, would this prevent me from getting pregnant? I just turned 35. Please help!
