Hello! I had a colposcopy back in May and I am having follow-up procedures now. I was told that I had CIN 1 from one biopsy and CIN 2 from another. I am confused by this, as I thought that CIN staging is for your entire cervix and not per biopsy site. Can you help me to understand whether it is possible to have more than one CIN stage, and if not how would you suggest I address this with my gynecologist? I ve only had an opportunity to speak to nurses up until now and I am getting mixed information about this. My recent pap results are low grade squamous inter epithelial lesion, and my last pap was just ASCUS. I see that my results have progressed slightly, and I want to ensure that I am educated about my results. I ve asked to speak to my gynecologist but it isn t sounding like that will happen for a while. I appreciate a second opinion about my results. Thank you!
