Is it normal to have only the heart beat without fetus seen in 8th week of pregnancy ?

hi..i m of 22 dr. did ultrasound in my 1st month of pregnancy . n she didnt see baby then on eight week only heartbeat was heard n fetus was not everything ok?is baby growth normal?

thanks for choosing 8 weeks you should see a worm like fetus with head end and tail end and also visualise heart beat.Possibly there is a delay in dates which happens when there is discrepancy between ultrasound and menstrual dates due to delayed conception.Please follow up and let us know.
