Is It Normal For Kids To Have Cold Feet And Lethargic Feel In Fever?

my 14 month old son has been running a low grade fever since last night. (101.2) Ibuprofen takes care of the fever. Now he's acting a bit lethargic. His head and torso are hot but his feet are cold and his skin is splotchy. Is this normal with a fever?

Hi...sometimes in fever like this the body can show differential Temperature pattern due to the difference in blood supply. The blotchy pattern you are seeing over hands and feet could be due to changes in ambient temperature too.

But as his hands and feet are Cold you need to be on the look out for low urine output. If this is low then please take him to the nearest emergency room.
