Is it likely I will die with a heart attack in my sleep ?

Is it likely I'll die with a heart attack in my sleep? I m in my early 20s, I know no one will know for sure how to answer this question online, but yesterday when I fell asleep in bed straight from work, I dreamt that my heart was beating really fast and the veins in my neck were pumping, and it actually hurt physically. When I woke up, the left side of my chest was really sore and I felt like having palpitations. I ve had those thumping sensations through my veins for several mos now. However tests never confirmed I had a heart problem. So I don t really understand what this could be...perhaps it s just stress, but I don t know why something else tells me it isn t normal? I just want to have an idea what this MIGHT be?? thank u for your answers... Also, just when I m falling asleep (from being awake and fully asleep) some parts of my body jerks...the sort of sudden movement that ressembles being startled... I get that every now and then...I told docs abt this and they said I m just anxious or stressed ...?

I would suggest if you are worried you should go to your doctor and ask for an EKG to test out your heart.

23 years male, 177cm, 66kg. for the last 3 months i have been having chest discomfort, dizzy, palpitations and fast heart rates (90-110 at rest), high blood pressure (24h monitor revealed 133/75mmHg, pulse pressure 58mm Hg, heart rate 86bpm - during sleep 126/63mmHg and heart rate 64bpm, it fluctuates between 50-84bpm), sometimes i have bluish/purpule lips and nails, sometimes i feel like my throat is closing or narrow. ekg was normal, echocardiogram did not reveal anything, and bike-stress test was ok (time 0= 145/85mmHg and 132bpm, reached 171bpm @ 175w in 8:17minutes - after 1st minute it went down to 150bpm, the second minute it went back up to 157, the 3rd minute 143, 4th 134, 5th 133bpm; my bp went up to 175/95mmHg, 3rd minute of rest it went back down to initial 150/85mmHg). i did not fell any pain or problems breathing, just a little lightheaded. i still get palpitations (at rest), my lips turn bluish at the corners, i feel slightlly faint or dizzy. i can run for 15 minutes(5 walk, 5 run, 5 really really fast run) and not have any discomfort (maybe a little dizzy or lightheaded). what can it be ? if i experience chest pain or discomfort, wouldn t exercising while i feel it make it worse ? i tried it twice and the discomfort went away. (still get that blue color on the side of my lips and purpule-ish nails). my dad had a heart attack when he was 45.

Hello Dr, 41 year old, non-smoker, 1-5 units of alcohol a week, active, no other health issues. Family history of heart problems (Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy ), have been checked and do not have it, although have a slight thickening of arterial knuckle which gets monitored. I m getting what feels like pulses or faint flutters from my oesophagus region to the top of my sternum region, these symptoms are infrequent during the day to sometimes non-existent, but at night the symptoms only occur when laid on my back or on my left side (they disappear when I m lying on my right side?) and feel more constant with a heart beat ie pulses at a constant rate. Occasionally have slight breathlessness since this has started 1 week ago. Now I ve had a slight upset stomach (although not constipated I ve not been regular) the last week and the symptoms do seem to be more present when I have heavy feeling in my stomach and then subside once I pass wind. Is the pulses/flutter linked to this and could be a blockage and wind not escaping? Or something else?

My husband's heart is beating loudly and seems to be beating irregularly. I took his blood pressure and it was normal. His heart rate was 102bpm. He also has an urge to cough periodically. He's had these episodes happen before and the cough has helped at times. Do we need to be concerned? His father died from heart disease and started having an irregular heart beat when he was 35.

Recently I have been experiencing a "racing heart" ulse rate upwards to 111, and general tiredness. Is this something to be concerned about since heart disease runs in my family, including a sibling that died from a heat attack at age 57. My age is 56
