Is It Advisable To Take Alcohol Along With Antibiotics Given For Sinus Infection?

Hi Dr, I have a sinus infection and the Dr prescribe me Sandoz Cefprozil. Is it normal that my throat is really dry like almost like a sore throat ? I am drinking a lot of fluids. I wanted to know if I am allowed to have any alcohol with these antibiotics or is it recommended none at all ?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to avoid alcohol while you are using the antibiotics. Alcohol can sometimes affect the metabolism and effectiveness of antibiotics.

The course of antibiotics is normally for 7 days to a week.

I hope this helps
