Is Increased Leucocytes And Epithelial Cells With Trichomonas Absent Cause For Concern?

hi i have just had a smear test because of increased discharge and bad odour, the result shows increased leucocytes and epithelial cells, trichomonas is absent, i am very worried about this, my doctor is not available until next week, treatment so far is antibiotic pessaries

Hi,
It is nothing to worry.
Your pap smear is showing presence of infection and is showing absence of Trichonomonas vaginalis parasite.
Discharge and bad odor is seen in many bacterial infections and this appears to be the same.
As you are already on antibiotic pessaries, you can continue the same and the infection should get treated by next week.
No tumor cells are seen, which is better. Infection can always be treated.
