Is Experiencing Belching And Discomfort In Breast Area After A Fracture Normal?

On Friday I fell from the attic when the ladder twisted on me. I'm heavy and when I felI I fell with my arm under me and fractured my radius. I now have a cast. Recently I am experiencing discomfort under my breast or mid section. I have been belching maybe relieving air bubbles. Is there something wrong?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

As you are experiencing pain over the anterior chest wall, it is mandatory to rule out any underlying lung injury which might have resulted due to fall. I suggest you to have a CT scan of the involved chest wall to know any underlying pathology as the cause of your chest pain.

Consult a General physician for a detailed evaluation and further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
