Hi, I have been applying fluorouracil topical crème 5% to the lesion on my arm, as ordered. It has been 10 weeks, and the medicine is finally working. However, for the past 2 weeks I have diarrhea, and I believe it is caused by this cream. since the diarrhea stopped, when I discontinued the medicine. ;after starting it again, several days later, the diarrhea returned.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Fluorouracil cream is used mainly for inhibiting cell division.

Like all medications there are potential side effects. In terms of the gastrointestinal tract , it is associated with a medicinal taste and stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth).
It is not commonly associated with diarrhoea, though individual reactions to medication may vary.

You should consult your doctor if you are experiencing intolerable side effects.

I hope this helps
