Is Cough, Chest Pain Normal Pertussis Behavior?

I was diagnosed with pertussis towards the end of April and as expected, the cough is hanging on. However, in some of my recent coughing fits, I get sudden chest pain that radiates down both arms. This pain will go away about 5 minutes after the end of my coughing fit. Is this normal pertussis behavior?

Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.
Pertusis can have severe coughing. Get it treated properly and also get strong cough suppressants like codeine syrup.
You should also get a Chest X ray and ECG.

Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion. If you wish to discuss the problem further with me , you may ask through section of PREMIUM query , directed on my name.
Stay Healthy.
